The user is the one who inspects hoisting tools before use. The inspector carries out the mandatory annual inspection on behalf of the hoisting equipment owner. The inspector inspects chainwork and special lifting tools in accordance with the guidelines of EKH companies. Inspecting floor clamps, plate clamps ect. is a specific task for a person who has completed the inspector training. An in-house employee can be used to inspect hoisting equipment in accordance with Health & Safety regulations. This person has completed a training course covering all aspects of hoisting equipment. Maintenance, inspection and minor repairs can be carried out by this person without any problem. During the inspection, the employee steps out of the role of user and assumes the role of inspector.
During training Hoisting equipment inspection the inspection of hoisting equipment is specifically covered. After this training, participant has the knowledge and skills to inspect all common hoisting equipment. Employee can use the knowledge gained to assess and report on hoisting equipment belonging to employer or third parties. Participants assess and inspect various lifting tools in practice. They learn to look beyond a standard user during this training. The findings in the practical part must be reported correctly.
The aim of this training: To avoid damage and accidents with lifting equipment and to increase awareness of lifting equipment.
