Course content
The course focuses on professional practice, with the combination of theory and practical exercises making for a fun and educational course. If required, the course can also be delivered in-company. Feel free to ask about the possibilities!
Although a certificate for driving a forklift is not required by law, the employer does have a duty to provide demonstrable instruction. This course constitutes such demonstrable instruction, which also enhances the employee's professional competence and strengthens safety awareness.
Topics covered include:
- Description various types of machinery
- Operation and construction of the trucks
- Loading of forklift trucks
- Ergonomic work posture
- Explanation of concepts such as centre of gravity, capacity, lifting height, load diagram and stability
- Daily monitoring and visual inspection prior to work
- Batteries and rectifiers
- Pallet handling
- Driving skills and various machine types
- Safety instruction

What else you need to know:
In the practical part of the Safe Forklift Driving Course, participants' driving skills are assessed and adjusted if necessary. Thanks to the small group size, each participant receives plenty of personal attention.
During the day, coffee, tea and a delicious lunch will be provided.
Seven theory hours for Code 95 can be registered for this course.
