Course content
The course is focused on professional practice where the mix of theory with practical exercises makes a fun and, above all, educational course. The course is conducted in-company.
Although a forklift certificate has not been made mandatory, there is a duty on the employer to provide instruction that must be demonstrable. This course is such demonstrable instruction, which also raises the quality of the employee, increases safety awareness and emphasises the importance of maintenance to the employee.
Topics covered include:
- Description various types of machinery
- Operation and construction of the trucks
- Loading of forklift trucks
- Ergonomic work posture
- Explanation of concepts such as centre of gravity, capacity, lifting height, load diagram and stability
- Daily monitoring and visual inspection prior to work
- Batteries and rectifiers
- Pallet handling
- Driving skills and various machine types
- Safety instruction

What else you need to know:
During the one-day practical part of the course Working safely with the forklift truck the driver's driving skills are assessed and corrected if necessary. The trainee is guided individually in this process.
Seven theory hours for Code 95 can be registered for this course.
